Love is your story.
I’m here to help you write it.

I’m one of those people who loves love. Not that dramatic, rom-com “will they won’t they” type of love, but the type of love that asks us to give and grow—the love that can sustain us for decades together as partners. That passion drives my work both as a relationship therapist and a wedding officiant. Let’s talk about your love story and how I can help.

Services

Your Relationship Story Unfolds

I work with people who have chosen and invested in their growth and their relationships—you can define what that means to you. All relationships are honored here.

Relational Therapy

The particular shape and labels of your relationship are important, but not as important as your willingness to change. If you want to repair or strengthen your connection, we’re going to do good work. As an LMFT, I’m trained in providing therapy for the relationship itself, as well as for each of you as individuals.

Individual Therapy

All therapy is relational in my mind—you might not be bringing anyone into the therapy room with you, but I bet they’re occupying space in your brain. Let’s have a look at what and who has shaped you and how that’s impacting you today. Then we can figure out what shape you actually want to be.

Pre-Marital Counseling

It may sound counter-intuitive, but there’s so much value in looking for the challenges ahead of a commitment like marriage. We’ll find all those strengths that help you overcome them, too. All relationships have points of friction—it’s about learning how to show up to that friction with love.

Weddings & Ceremonies

Whether a tiny elopement or huge affair, I want your ceremony to feel like it captures who you are, what you mean to each other, and the heart of the promise you’re making. It’s a big, beautiful commitment! I would be honored to be part of sharing your love story with those who have gathered to celebrate you.

01

Therapy Models

I have training in and draw from the following therapeutic models: Emotionally Focused Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Feel free to ask any questions about how I use these models.

02

Specialties

I chose my graduate program because I knew I wanted to work with relationships. The majority of my work is with couples who are working through relationship challenges and find their way back to connection. I also work with individuals who want to shift their relationship to themselves.

03

Style

I want you to feel comfortable, and then invited into challenge. Warmth and humor are important to me, and I tend toward being curious, thoughtful, and perhaps a bit philosophical. While I will always ask you what feels important to discuss, I will be tracking our goals and bringing structure to our conversations as well.

04

Couples Approach

I see couples therapy as a three-part process. There is an individual process for each of you occurring and influencing the interactional process between you. My approach is to work toward clarity, depth, and security on those three fronts. Let’s see more clearly what is happening, explore that together, and then shift it into something that restores and deepens connection.

05

Individual Approach

I take a very relational approach to individual therapy. I appreciate the parts metaphor and mindfulness approaches for deepening self-understanding and expanding options for responding to life. I am comfortable working with your history of experience and history in relationships as it is playing out in the here-and-now. Our work will explore that history while also being relevant to your daily life.

06

Values

I believe in the inherent worth of every person and their right to autonomy and self-direction. I’m inclusive—this means you are welcome as you are, and it means you’ll find me to be body-positive, sex-positive, kink-aware, poly-friendly, and LGBTQ+ affirming. I believe in examining the assumptions and standards that guide our behavior so that we are choosing them consensually.
